Mobile Technology in the Classrooms
Technology is everywhere, it is entwined with every facet of our daily lives. With it’s great presence, why shouldn’t mobile technology be made available in more classrooms? Few schools are way ahead of the curve, but many schools are delaying the process of implementing technology into our classrooms. I find if used properly, it can further prepare students for their future careers when they are able to familiarize with many technological devices within classrooms. Devices can offer alternative sources to class textbooks! Technology in classrooms can help students in real world scenarios or outside of the classroom; As the generation slowly move into a world that is increasingly becoming technology-dependent. Therefore, incorporating advanced devices can help students interact with their classmates more, as our world becomes more diverse and promotes encouraging collaborations. As a 21st century educator, I would promote proper use of cellphones into classrooms because teaching responsibility of these devices can help students take more control of their worlds. In the long run, as technology becomes available, students are access to the most up-to-date information quicker and easier than ever! Having them refine their approach to appropriate use of technology will be essential.
